The Riverview Village Intentional Community Society (RVICS) is committed to protecting the privacy of its visitors. RVICS does not share or sell the names and mailing addresses of our supporters with other organizations.
If you choose to “Take Action” or make a donation, we will send you updates on this and other important campaigns by email. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from our email list, you may do so by following the unsubscribe link contained on each email. In certain cases, we may enable you to send individual e-mails to the legislators, and other targets as well as Letters-to-the-Editor to various news publications, through our website. These messages are sent in your name, with your e-mail address as the return address and your full name and contact information is provided as part of the submission. These messages will only be sent out under your name as you approve them on an individual basis using our email tool. You are solely responsible for the specific message(s) you send using our email tool. Name and address information provided by you and transmitted through us to third party recipients through letters, action alerts, petitions, etc. will be shared only with the intended recipient.
If you choose to donate to our society, standard credit card information (name, card type, card number, expiration date, etc.) is collected and a record kept of your financial transaction. This allows us to process, fulfill, and acknowledge your order or donation. Secure server software encrypts all information you input before it is sent to us. Your credit card details will not be saved on our web server.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
